    Default Calla Lily?

    © reserved 2009, Richard Lovison

My wife brought home some cut flowers from a school function so I experimented with indoor shots using natural light.

    Olympus E-3
    ZD 14-54mm @ 40mm
    manual exposure - 1/1.6 sec at f9
    ISO 100
    tripod
    natural light

Don't you love them? I think all nature photographers love Calla Lilies for their beautiful shape and soft colors. I'd bet you money this would be stunning as a black and white image as well. Did you give that a try?

You did a great job on the lighting. I love the way you can see the tip peeking out from behind and the soft way it leans to one side. Well done Richard.

Very dramatic, RIchard. Would you consider cropping some off the left for compo purposes?
