    Default Royal Terns

The idea was to get to the beach early... however, after feeding and walking dogs, taking wife to breakfast, and a bit of automobile problems along the way, the sun was blazing by the time I got there :(

I think you managed the hight sun very well exposurewise :) The natural moment is great, as well as the poses, colors and comp, the one thing I miss are the catchlights.
    Congratulations!

Very nice composition although the harsh light is taking a toll.
    Looking forward to more.

The light looks a little harsh, but the reflection off the sand has produced fairly even lighting. Great behavior captured. I edited your post so that the image appears in the thread; to do this use the Insert Image button instead of the Insert Link button.
