Image from Newfoundland Taken this past June in a trip with Chas Cape St Mary's has one of the largest gannet colony in the world I believe up to 700,000 birds make their way Spectacular sight if there is no fog !!!!!!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

btw had a big time brain cramp regarding the number of birds at the Cape From my impressive estimate it is down to 50 thousand individuals which still is one impressive number for such a small area !!! Thanks John !!!

Great topside view but the BG puts this over the top for me.

"if there is no fog" ... I believe to remember that you had fog almost all the time, right?

I'm in the like the background camp Al. The gannet is beautiful and it really stands out against a wonderfully colorful background that gives a hint of the environment.

I like the bg too Al! I always favor more of the "habitat " look. It is always more interesting to me.
