    Default I need some help....

    Hi all,

My aunt took these shots while visiting Presqu'ile Provincial Park (Southern Ontario), and asked for identification. I thought (and still do to a degree) that it was a tree swallow; but she insists that it was bigger than a robin, and that she is almost positive that it is not a swallow of any kind. I can't think of anything else that fits these pictures. Can anyone give me a hand?

    Happy shooting and God bless,

That is going to be a hard one.. You really need a bigger image of the bird for positive ID..

I agree this is tough but the second one looks like a Tree Swallow.

    Thanks!

If you click on the photo (once in Webshots) you can see it full screen.

Another clue that I forgot. She said that the branch is over water (I'm guessing L.Ont.). To me, that would again suggest swallow, as I've seen them scooping up bugs flying over the surface.

    Thanks again,
    Paul

Most likely Tree Swallows but it is too small in the frame to be really sure.

The first image does show the upsweep curve of the long wings which makes it a Tree Swallow to me!
