I like the eye contact in this, and actually like the earthy colours in this too. The green blades of grass in the FG adds to the image. I would maybe get rid of the stick protruding out his back by his tail.
I like the look and overall feel Agree on the stick removal by his back and would also like some detail in the shadow area in front of rear leg. Light was harsh but you did well !!! ... particularly like the crop with plenty of room for the animal !!!
