    Default Red Shoulder Hawk (Captive)

Took the family over to Ospreyfest in Westport,MA. Ospreyfest is a fund raiser put together by Mass Audubon and the Westport Watershed Alliance to raise money for monitoring three Osprey's who have been fitted with transmitters. The Lloyd Center (environment research and education) brought along a rescued Red Shoulder. She had most of her right wing amputated.
Wish I had a better head angle here. I took a lot of pics but the background was a window. Took this one as the handler was putting her away and she passed by a more pleasing BG. Only got to take a few here and this one had the best HA. Thanks for looking all C/C welcome. Brian

You did well here. Maybe just a bit on the dark side and I would have liked more space on the left. Well done on this

Hey Kobus, Thank you for actually taking the time to leave me a critique. I know my pictures aren't aw inspiring but that's why I'm here. Here I tried to fix what you mentioned.

I prefer the darker version. I agree it could go a wee bit lighter but not as much as your repost. Having a better head angle would have also resolved another issue here...and that is the shadow across the eye. I would tone down the brighter green patch close to the chest. Hope you and your family had a great time...always a thrill to see these guys up close even when in captivity.
