    My hostas are just beginning to send up their long lavendar-flowered stems. I sat down on the ground this morning and, between sneezes, captured a few images. (Yes, hayfever season is fully upon us here in the great Midwest!)

    Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 macro & 12mm extension tube
    f2.8 @ 1/320th, ISO 400
    Manual mode, sunny wb, handheld, no flash
    Processed in ACR & CS4.

    Love the soft colors and feel, the curve of the leaf and the shape of the bud.

    Love the soft colors on this one, I'm undecided on the focus because it includes the stem that is on the same plane and competes for attention.

    Hey Jules,
    You and Fabs are kiling me!!! The softness is great! I am OK with the stem..........heck.....I'm a f32 guy.....so the fact I like it is a plus! For me the soft s curve of the leaf is what really makes it!
