    Default Three gannets

Taken at Cape St. Mary's Newfoundland, Sony a700, iso400, sigma 500 mm f4.5 lens at 5.6, 1/3200 s, matrix metering no compensation. I wish the leftmost gannet had turned its head similar to the others but I waited and waited and it never did and then the other two flew off.

Hi Gene was that at the rock looking back to the visitors center :)

One tough image to make getting all to cooperate Tough to get them all within the dof I think the focus is on the last bird but the other two are not bad !!! Will miss the cape this year ... one of my favorite places !!! Next time you stop there say Hi to Tony Power for me !!!

Hi gene - like the diagonal lines in the composition of this one - agree with AL'S comments. Love gannets.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

Great to have 3 birds in the frame. At this high shutter speed you could have stopped down more to f/8 or 11 for wider DOF.

I agree Alex but then the background becomes very distracting.
