Hi Desmond - love the pose and the high key and a good HA - very impressive for such a small fast bird. Sweet lens that 300 2.8 as well. Nicely done.

    How large of a crop?
Think I might crop some from the bottom.

    Hi Desmond,
I like the capture. You have sharp details, good color rendition, and I like the spread open wings...would just crop 1/4 from the bottom...good show...

Desmond, Nice capture and I like the pose and HA. I see a bit of noise in the wing areas and agree w/ a slight crop off bottom. Well done!

Hi Desmond Sweet capture About all we could wish for is having the bird (original) larger in frame for less cropping !! You got one difficult bird !!!

So, Desmond, you can capture small birds in flight! So you are my hero!

Congratulations. This is the sort of image I have been trying to make, with much less success.

love being able to see the swallowed tail here. nice capture, desmond. agree with the others that bigger in the original would have rendered some nicer detail, but still nice nonetheless!

Excellent capture Desmond. I have hundreds of flight shots of swallows and still haven't gotten one even close to this nice. Well done!

Thanks for the comments folks ! I personally like the pose and in particular the tail in this image.

Lance, it's a large crop. And, yep, I'll go out again and try, and try, and try....
