    Default Bosque Silhouettes

Captured at sunrise at Bosque Del Apache. My goal was to create a strong silhouette of the cranes and the duck leading the way.

I like the colors and the separation between the cranes. I wish there was a little more room in front of the duck which I think is a coot.

    Lovely setting and woarm tones!
I like the fact that you have included the duck wich gives better perspective towards the cranes.

    Well done!

Nice mood, light and silhouettes. I would add some space on the left side.

I like it a lot, especially the framing, but feel that everyone has missed the real problem... The darkness at the top intrudes on the silhouettes lessening the dramatic impact of the image. If you could lighten this area, the improvement would be noticeable.

Thanks all for the comments. I've lightened up the top some. I also brightened up the entire image a bit. Hope this helps. I also agree about leaving more space on the left, but decided to just leave it alone for now. Thanks all for your thoughts.

Better. And I like the framing as is. What did you do to lighten the top?

I added a levels adjustment layer, used the middle slider to lighten up the image, then painted over the layer mask on the lower part of the image. I also added an exposure adjustment layer to brighten the entire image about 1/3 of a stop.

    thx for the feedback.
