    I like the eye contact and the dark background. Anyway to lighten just the top of the head a little?

    I liked Dans idea about lightening the head a bit, so I gave it a try. I think she does look a bit better, although maybe a bit less moody. Just an option.

    I like the composition. It is alert but nevertheless a nice portrait. Thanks for sharing.

    I don't mind the animal to be alert, it's normal, more relaxed would mean adaptation to humans. I like Randy's repost.

    I personally prefer to have the animal with an alert view as well.

    The lightening of the top of the head is also good.

    Stephen, great use of the spot light, and love the eye to eye stare with you. Honey eyes at their best.
