Default Yellow Warbler ~ Simple Perch

This is an experiment as I processed this on my totally sub par monitor at work using PSE rather than CS3 so if it looks bad, let me know and I'll rework it tonight. Posting it this way cares me but I'll be daring today

On top of that, it looks OK on the monitor (given what I'm working with) but like crud when I see it on the page with non color managed IE7.

Same relative location as the last YW I posted, but on an alternate, simple perch which the birds were using.

    Nikon D300, 500 VR, TC14EII, ISO 800, UniWB, F 7.1, Flat Tone Curve, +.7 EV compensation.

This ought to be a learning experience.

Jim, the area around the eye looks hot without much detail and the picture is a bit flat. I would say when you re-work it on your regular monitor the results will be much better.

    Jim:

I would say pretty good overall, not quite the killer as the previous one.

Sharp, well exposed, clean background, like the bud on the perch.

There are multiple catch lights which are a bit distracting.

Thanks for sharing. You have set the bar so high, its hard to hit it every time!

Perch, BG and details look good. The yellows look washed out, though.

Guess I need to rework it this evening :)

Actually, it appears to be an issue with PSE when I do a "Save For Web".
