I just returned from 6 days in Yellowstone trying to capture some good wolf images. We had some really bad weather. The park was completely closed to all travel on Monday. We saw wolves daily but good photo opps were few and far between. Here some yearling wolves from the Druid Peak pack were testing a small group of elk. This cow ran off this wolf that got to close for comfort.

Nice capture of a reaction you usually don't see. Sorry to hear about the weather. Just read about some close encounters over by Soda Butte and the Haydens near Mammoth. Hope it clears up a bit as I'll be there Thursday - Saturday.

Robert, for me this is an excellent image of the side of predator/prey relationship that is seldom published. Very nice.
