We have several Hoyas in the house and they put on a sensory show on when they bloom. Hoyas are the only ornamentals in the family Asclepiadaceae which includes the milkweeds, food of the Monarch Butterfly. They are one of my favourite flowers but quite small so their true beauty comes out up close.
I used simple lighting from a window to the right and a flash with a white sock to the left. Very small crop and not much else.

Reason: repaired small flaw in image
I do not normally get excited with flower shots but this is a bit special :) Love the colours but the porcelain whites are the stars for me - even though I thought we were going to talk about Hoya Filters :)
I'm so glad I waited until I got home to my calibrated monitor to view this...it was way dark at work but absolutely stunning now. They remind me of those little sugar flowers that they used to put on birthday and wedding cakes. Seriously...this is one fine image. I find myself looking for something that's not perfect about it but I got nothin'...
Beautiful composition and flowers. I agree that they are small and only with a macro lens can get all their beauty. If anything, I would change the color of your signature :)
