This Wood Duck was photographed from a blind on a small woodland pond. This is full frame top to bottom - maybe add a bit on the top?? 40D, 500 f/4, 1/800, f/7.1, ISO 400. I removed a branch that was touching the tail. Comments are welcome.

Excelente pose, light, BG, detail, colors and exposure, it feels a bit tight IMO and it would looks better with a horizontal crop in stead of the square one, just my thoughts :)
    Congratulaitons!

Yes I would add some to the top, and to the right as well. Nice BG, pose, and open bill.

Great light, calling pose and eye contact, it is just a bit tight in the frame for my taste.

a beautiful species well captured in sweet light. I would go for a 4:3 crop
