    Default Zebra Longwings

This is one from a couple weeks ago. I thought the flower complimented the butterfly with a nice clean BG. Taken with the D300, Nikon 70-300VR, f 9, 1/500, iso 640. All comments appreciated as always:).

It's a strange composition with the butterfly dead center and the flower offset but I like it. The background color along with the complimentary colors of red and green in the plant work well also. Beautifully done.

Thank you Richard! I toyed with different crops, but kept coming back to this one.

Very nice, Nancy. Compos works for me, Very difficult to come up with a different crop for the top of Bflies.
Do you have Viveza? I'd play with the Bg color, since it is so drab although it is clean.

Thank you Fabs. I do have Viviza, and did lighten the BG from the original. This is a bit lighter. What are peoples thoughts?:)

It looks muche better lighter. You can also play with the Saturation, changing the colors!!

Nancy, I like the crop as well...I just wish the leaves were a bit closer to the plant and a little further from the bottom of the frame. Like the BG color better in the repost...nice!

    Nancy,

I think the color of your plant leaves as a BG or some other green might make the ZL really pop. I really miss Viveza after a computer crash.

    Just my opinion...
