    Default Red Vented Bulbul

It was a tough job to isolate the cactus from the bird. I had to try a lot of angels and compositions till i made the type of image i wanted.Comments and critics are welcome!!!

Lovely BG and nice pose. DOF has covered the bird well. Light angle is challenging as it is casting shadow on the right side. This would have been a great opportunnity to use some fill flash. Pity you couldn't eliminate the blurred cactus branch in front of the perch. I would be tempted to burn in the cactus a bit and shadow/highlight may open up a bit more detail in the dark tones of the bird.

I like to be able to see the detail in the black eye coming from the black head. I agree with the bright cactus being a bit of a distraction. Maybe a different crop would take some of the cactus away

Majot points covered by Tony. You were indeed in a tough situation. Moving left would introduce more of the FG OOF cactus and moving right would worsen the light angle. Pretty neat BG!
