Fill flash to lighten the LH side, part of RH side was overexposed due to side light and salvaged
in Camera Raw. Sharpen, BG noise reduced by Gauss blur.
There's a large tick (I believe) in the eye area on this bird...

    Comments appreciated.

Good job evening the EXP, hard to tell how much you needed to tone down.
Nice composition and BG, although the light area in the LL corner is distracting.
Thanks for sharing this one :)

Looks lovely and soft with those puffed feathers - BG is great but I agree with Fabs on the light areas- should be an easy fix.

To bad about the blunt cut-off ending to the perch, but at least the foot is obstructing part of it :-) I agree with the LLC, but as Tony says it should be an easy fix (clone and patch tools should work fine here). Good pose by this sparrow, and excellent use of fill.

Lovely little bird Llija. Agree that the LL lighter area is a little bit distracting, the perch isnt the best, but hey thats were he was sitting so nothing you could do about that, but his foot over the end hides it quite well :)

Great use of flash, as the exposure looks great. Comp works well, and the LLC mentioned.

    Thank you for the critique,

The LLH corner gave me so much pain,
it actually started as very sharp piece of bokeh.
I agree now, I should've just gotten rid of it completely.
