    Second photo taken of Bobolinks, this one was a bit closer only about 40% crop, I found if I sit still, they'll fly from post to post, 40 feet seems to be a close as I could get. Dandelions complement the yellow head. Sharpened head and eye...was late morning sun, almost overhead. I like the top of a post this bird was sitting on...

    Much better than the other one, a biggeer head turn would have been nice. I love the mixed BG.

    Love the BG. Harsh light is challenging. Perch has character but unfortunate about the part merging with the breast.

    I know its personal taste, but I wish there was less yellow at top. Perhaps if there was just a touch of it I'd like it better. Harsh light mentioned. I do like the image however...very cool species both in looks and song (R2-D2!!) that is not easy to approach. My best chances with them have come by slowly approaching from my vehicle on country roads.
