I have no idea what the character means, but I found it in a site helping you learn Chinese, so it's not profanity :)
Find Edges, B&W at low opacity, texture and canvas size for framing.
    Hope it passes inspection :)

    That's "Love", Fabs !

Finally somebody added some texture to the background :)

It's beautiful as is. I think I would move the butterfly a bit to the right though because the size of that character makes it - at least to me- a part of the overall composition. I would then be tempted to leave more room between the character and the butterfly. Not sure if it works out OK though.

Beautiful work Fabs! Love this for what it is! This definately has the "flair" we are looking for this week! If you wanted to modify this to fit a traditional Chinese stye, I would suggest that the calligraphy be without the framing or do the whole calligraphy/frame in red and reduce it, transforming it into a chop. Also, a comment on the canvas texture, again if you wanted to be more traditional, I would suggest totally eliminating the texture. I say this because, Chinese brush painting is done on rice paper, which when finished and mounted, is totally flat and without texture. But, as I said above, this is great for what it is, a beautiful work of art!:)

Fabs - This is a beautiful work of art. I see both you and Denise using Find edges. Is this a filter is PS - I
have Elements 7 and don't think it's an available filter (or maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places!) Thanks!
