More from my highland hummingbird series.

This magnificent hummingbird (left) tries with no success to scare away this fire-throated hummingbird, the last one is one of the most territorial CR hummingbirds.

    Hi Juan,

What a lovely behavior you have here. Very sharp and colorful. Maybe a little more room all around but excellent work.

    Take care!

Did you push the contrast there as the perch seem unnatural? A great interaction capture, I like the tight crop as is.

JC, terrific capture in beauty and action! Lovely BG and composition, I'd back from the sharpening some.

    Hi Phil!

I have to admit that this perch does not look so natural and may be is a bit over sat. but that is almost the natural color of it. Thanks for asking.

Juan, lovely pose from both of them, and I like how they are opposite each other. Amazing colours captured on them, and the complimentary colours in the BG adds to the image too.

I love the interaction, perch, and BG (and the title!). I also love the spread tail of the lower bird. I see a magenta cast that should be easy to negate.

    Juan,

I also see some slight magenta in this excellent photo.
