My first post on OOTB and boy do I now know how lacking I am in PS skills! I've been trying all week to figure out
the chop and symbols and getting them on my photo. The sandhills were taken this winter and I used a watercolor
filter and things I've lost track of:confused: This has been fun and very mind expanding. (I'm still trying to do a mini-world).
I would have liked for this to be more vertical but will have to work on that another day.

Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions are welcome!:)

Cheryl, Welcome to OOTB! Fantastic first post here!! You picked a good week-the theme is so fun! If you run into any problems w/ photoshop just PM me I'll be more than happy to help if I can!! I really like the watercolor filter and the texture BG. Your chop and symbols look very good to me-the crop feels a bit tight.

Hi Cheryl, welcome, this is great for a first try for sure!!!! I agree with Denise that we would like to see more room around the cranes and especially on the left. I have been reccommending againist the large fonts on the calligraphy but having the calligraphy light in tone works, although it is not a traditional treatment! If this were a painting and my instructor was critiquing it, she would probably say "more room around the birds and small black calligraphy would be better". But, we are OOTB here and I like what you have created!!

welcome Cheryl, you have a very nice effect.
Nice thing about these themes is that it forces you to experiment....thus you learn.
I have challenged myself to want a certain look, then have to figure out how to get it

Really nice cap Cheryl and the PP works exceptionally well to create a very wonderful image. Dan's suggestions might put it over the top but it's gorgeous just as it is. Nice work!
