    The roseate spoonbill was at Wakodahatchee for a couple of weeks and made a surprising appearance on the island where the GBH are nesting.

    D300, Nikon 300mm F2.8, ISO 320, 1/4000, F6.3

    Gorgeous colors and good dof. I would like to have seen a little more of his right wing and wish the sky was bluer and not so gun metal. I also wish I knew what he was about to land on if only a hint of.

    Must have been exciting Judy !!!! Never seen one on the island !!! Great eye contact and clean bg Would tweak the sky a bit Big Congrats !!!

    To be really really picky, I see a tiny halo on the feet.

    I love this image and spent a while admiring it. To me it appears that you captured the exact moment in time when this magnificent bird spotted you and wished it could fly in reverse. Awesome!
