Assignment: Color - “Reeds In The Breeze”

Note: This is a double exposure consisting of four frames. The ambient lighting was bounced and directed by means of reflector panels, and diffusers.

This care free habitat was painted with a Nikon D3, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D IF-ED macro lens.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/125sec. - f/22 / exposure comp @ -0.3EV / ISO @ 500 / white balance @ custom profile, using Expo disc for color balance / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution – ambient light / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist, with remote electronic trigger release.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Have no idea how you did it even after reading the techs. Nikon can do two exposures in one frame I think. The end result is very beautiful with the golds and greens with the nice sweeping verticals. I don't think you have ever missed a day without posting Gus:) ( An accomplishment in itself )

    Hi Lady Jackie,
I'm glad you like my diagonal reeds...:) On a double exposure, Nikon will take up to ten frames. On an image overlay, the captures have to be in RAW format and you can only do two frames...

Jackie don't even ask what Nikon can do :) On older models you could pick two images in camera and combine suggesting the blending percentage .... incredible !!!

Big Congrats on the D3 Gus One fine machine !!! Lovely image Just impressive !!!

Wow, great image. I will have to do some research on this overlay/double exposure process. Thanks for expanding our minds.
