But these beautiful birds have been staying up in the canopies, and seem to have a beautiful song to share.
this and the next are the best images I could capture, and I would love to identify.
I am a little embarrassed posting this here, as all of you seem to shoot such beautiful, exotic photographically perfect, with really pro equipment.
I am here to learn and hope you don't mind having a newbie around.
here was another try.... I really like the marking on the wings. I have been keeping track of all of the birds we have been getting in Sag Harbor NY this season, and this was the first week I saw this one.
It's always great to see Baltimore Orioles and they are quite vocal. If you want them to come to eye level you could offer them some fruit and put it near a nice perch. They like orange halves or strawberries.
Hi Gary! Don't be embarassed about posting, but you might be better served if you posted in the Eager to Learn section. Anyway, for us to be helpful please give us the camera and lens you used on the paricular shot. We don't need to know all the lenses you have, etc. Then just the photographic basics, at least to start. You know: shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and focal legnth. You might want to add a few extras details, but the basics tell us more than anything else on how the technique could be improved. Regards ~Bill
