    Default Lost...

Was waiting near a lonely tree for some bird images when this deer strayed into the fields. Took the opportunity to make this image. It was looking perplexed & disappeared into nearby forest in no time after spotting me at a distance ...

The light was against me & hence the deer was not so well-lit, but this provided a good contrast with the background.

I presume it is a red deer. ID confirmation/correction would be appreciated.

I like thhe compostio, you gave the animal room to walk into the frame. The leg position of the animal inplies movement and gives the image some energy. As you mentioned the light was not in your favor but handled as well as possible..

I love this one. The composition is fantastic, not only the size and position of the deer in the frame, but even more so the lines in the field. Tthe light was indeed not in your favor but its well handled. I would only tone down the saturation a little bit. Other than that a great photo IMO!
