Very tender image and what a terrific low angle you got here John. The little plover is tack sharp, with a fantastic eye contact and the OOF environment is really nice. Composition is nailed in my opinion. I would clone out the small 4-5 bright areas (sircle shaped) at the lower third of the right side of the frame. Very good job

What a great intimate portrait of the little'un. Great positioning within the frame too. I'd be interested to know how you find the 1.7 with the 600 as I've been thinking of picking one up.

Its a beautiful picture and very well composed. I too concur with Juan's agreement on the picture.

Oh my gosh, and I thought the baby kildeer I photographed this weekend were cute! Beautiful HA and lovely, crisp details.

the eye contact is penetrating and the overall feel is wondeful John.
Congrats on a stunner full of cuteness

    Great image, congrats!
I'm curious where was the image taken, was it Plum Island?

    Cheers, Ilija

    What a cute birdie!

Love the light in this one as well as the eye contact. The dark areas in front of the bird are a little distracting.

I like the DOF in this, with the lovely low angle. Good sharp detail captured, and hope you have some with them together.

    John....

    A) It's lovely

    B) What I really like about this image is the catchlight...I find it really difficult to get PP chicks with their eyes pointed up wards and providing a catchlight...

    Great job :)
