Here is another one of my favorite images from my session with this beautifull bird species. In this case I went for a vertical framing and the bird allowed me a lot of images so I enjoyed a lot with the composition and playing with the exposure. The sidelight and the dark shadows in the bank gave a good oportunity to creativity and I went for a dark image to enhace the colors of this flying jewels.
As always, your comments and suggestions are highly appreciated :)

This is a very dramatic image, Juan. The colors, comp, pose, and head angle are excellent and the insect in the beak tops it off. Well done.

Good-looking specimen, eye contact and details. The dark BG works really well here.

    Wonderful colors Juan.
Very nice species, the insect in the bill makes this one for me.

Juan, super pose, with good light and details. You have exposed the colours perfectly, thus making the BE stand out very well against the darker BG. His catch a bonus.

Lovely, Juan. Dark BG works beautifully. I might burn in the slightly pale spots behind/above the beak and the left upper corner and maybe tone down the few specks of whitewash on the rocks.

Juan, esta buenisima! I really like this image -- exposure, sharpness, mood, and composition are all great to my eye.
