Very nice Kyle I like how you picked your spot for focusing Might tighten from the left and back down the saturation on the red It goes over all on its own !!!

My first thought here would have been wide open but do like the added dof for covering the center !!!

Nice job! I tried a similar photo yesterday, and couldn't get anything. Agree with Al's comments. I might have tried a different angle to eliminate some of the clutter in the bg and then create a deeper dof in order to make the veins leaf behind the focus stand out better. And would try cloning out the small dark blemish on the petals. I would try cropping some off the top to remove the bright green and the bright areas on the upper petals. Nice bright image.

    Hi Kyle,
I would crop tighter on the left side and on the bottom, your red channel is a tad over saturated, would tone it down...loking forward to your next one...

    Default Help!!!!

I did crop some, but did not want to cut too much of the flower off. I'm not sure what you mean about the saturation. Should I have toned it down, because i did not play with the saturation. Still new at this so some help will be appreciated. Thanks

Kyle, red is problematic in digital cameras. It's not anything you did to the image. There is an excellent discussion about this topic here - http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=29761
