Hope I'm not too late to enter. Didn't have much time to work on this, but as I usually shoot stopped way down, I shot this open at f4. I just grabbed one of my orchids and shot a few frames white on white. Let me know what you think. - John

    John,

This looks like a painting to me. Great idea you "painted with light" in a very whispy way.
I need to try this with my orchids.

    Thanks for sharing....

John, A very lovely composition and the focus look great! I like the soft dreamy look along with the slight shimmer still visible on the petals!

I can't get over how well exposed the whites are in this, John! It's just dreamy!!!

Beautifully exposed with a great composition. I like the three purple stripes as the primary focus point.

Thank you one and all for your comments and kind words. I really appreciate them. This is quite an honor, and I'm grateful for your votes and the recognition. Congratulations to all of you that entered the MMDC competition, your images were awesome. I enjoyed all of them and thank you for selecting my image as one of the finalists. The challenge really made me think in a way that I do not usually shoot, and for that too, I am grateful. Thanks again. - John
