Another of my curiosity of how nature and technology can co exist. This time, while visiting the Shaker Village in Kentucky, I found this interesting view of natural envioronment and the Kentucky Electric Lake Dick Dam. aperture priority, hand held, 1/125, f22, iso400, 100mm. Some PS work on coloring, crop, removal of a few small distractions.

I'm also going to work on a black/white version to see if it's more dramatic.

you certainly captured an image that tells a story. photographywise, i see two things. it needs some CW rotation to level the horizon. a smaller thing would have been to get a little higher so that the horses' back would not intersect the horizon. couple of dust bunnies in the sky also...easily cleaned up.

i like what you have done here. i guess we must learn to peacefully coexist with growth.

Thanks everyone ....re that plane. I never noticed it til you mentioned it. Guess I was trying so hard to get that horse to turn so he wasn't facing me, I didn't notice the horizon. Good note to remember in the future. I'll work on the BW version.

Nice story here, Hazel. Agree on the others' assessment and would add that it looks like it could use a bit more sharpening. Can't wait to see the B&W version!
