I debated about posting this one, but decided to do it since terns in this stage of flight are rare in my collection. Taken about a year ago it presented many problems for me. It is cropped very heavily and tweaked quite a bit. I didn't have enough canvas on the right so decided a mildly feathered oval might help a little; I sharpened as much as I dared; the feathers are wet and darker than I'd like; some of the water spray and the leading wing are somewhat hot; I inserted a white dot for the eye (they often do not show in my photos), etc. So, I'm looking for suggestions. I'll try again this year to get a better -- perfect -- one. (I surely like the way these guys go completely under water and come right up again with a fish . . . if they're lucky.)

    Thanks, Wendell

you know what? this is a great addition to your collection. not sure i would crop so close. looks like a lot of action that could be viewed from a little further away. not sure i like the glazing of the corners. doesnt really add anything?

good luck this year. i know you will get another!!

Would also keep Wendell since its a neat looking image Don't think you could do more in PS for enhancing. Large crops are never conducive to good images !!!

Hi Wendell - good luck with your quest :) Like the action - not your everyday pose. Not fussed on the white corner effect - can add some vingetting to the corners to draw the eye in.

    Keep them coming :)
