I have had a very busy week with many picture opportunities. I will posting some of the images over the coming weeks.
My dad and I were driving past a field when we noticed all these birds hiding in the half grown hay. I went into the field to try to get a picture but had a hard time as they would disappear into the grass when they landed. I got close to one and waited. Finally, I guess he got curious. He perched on top of a tuft of grass and gave me quite a show. I have almost every head angle between 0 and 180 degrees.

What is your opinion on the OOF grass in the FG?

I love the warm light and composition. I'd go back on the green saturation a few points. Eye seems soft on this monitor.

    Great pose, light, and setting.
IMO, OOF FG grass not quite an image killer but would be better if there were less of it.

Might like to see a bit off the top and the bird a bit further to the right in the frame.

You did very well for a tough shot Joel. I think if I were going to crop, I might go the other way and take a bit off bottom to lose some of the oof grass. Dave

I like the result a lot. I do not mind about the OOF grass in the FG but the bird needs a round of selective USM. Fantastic out OOF BG . Well done

HA is perfect for the pose. Agree with a crop from the bottom and the need for sharpening the bird.
