Default Red Banana After A Cool Rain

Our red banana tree was hit by some cool weather this winter even though I did my best to prevent it. Here's an image of one leaf after some much needed rain. I was not able to control the placement of the rain drops.

Canon EOS- 1D, Sigma 180 mm AF APO EX DX macro with tripod. This was taken in natural light on an overcast day. My exposure was 1/ 25 sec. @f/ 13.0 ISO 800. It was processed with D.P.P. 3.5 and PS/CS4.

    Enjoy...

Neat image, Charles! I really like that you didn't over sharpen it...that happens so often when we try to get the water drops just right. I think it's perfect just like this.

Nice contrasting colors and I really like the diagonal comp.

I also believe this is a powerful image.

The diagonal line makes this one for me. Those water drops are fine but I guess fill flash would have help by adding flare to them. By the way, there are no banana trees, just banana plants that I know, are bizarre huge plants :)

I like the pattern on the leaf and the waterdrops adds nicely to the final touch.

    Hey Charles,
Also like the different shades of the greens as well as the diagonal comp. Nicely done!
