Hey, I like the bg and the colours. Is it only 400mm???

I like the light, eye contact and BG. Is this a big crop?

Beautiful image, Chris! I think I might consider taking out the notch at the bottom of the frame on the perch either with a clone or a crop. Small thing but it doesn't really add to the beauty of the image.

I also think the bird might be a tiny bit oversharpened - especially the top wing area.

Hmmmm, a lot of DOF for 6.3, how big a crop? Lovely colors and I agree with Jules about the thorn at the base of the image.
Thanks for sharing this one, Chris :)

Super pose, with stunning light Chris. Stands out nicely against the OOF BG.

Thanks for all the comments and advice on the sharpness and the torn at the bottom. It's not a huge crop I were lucky to get this guy nicely in the open.

    Love the warm light here.

This is a very striking species, thanks for sharing it. I don't see a problem with the thorn.

Lovely bird, light, sharpness, BKGR, and colors. The image quality looks excellent to me. I would lose the thorn....

Beautiful image with good sharpness and exposure. I would also loose the second thorn.
