    from back in february. the area seemed brutally slow this weekend.

    D300 bigma at 320mm, f/6.3, 1/320s, 0EV, ISO 400

    I like the posture with the forward extended wings. You have done exceptionally well with your slow ss, and good detail from the underwing.

    I like the angle and setting. I wish the underside of the near wing were visible and I would sharpen the bird more.

    Harold, why does the water color feel "off" to me? It's so desaturated compared to the colors of the bird...was this intentional? It just seems odd that the bird is so bright and contrasty and the water is so muddy in tone.

    no tricks here, that was the color of the water.
