Got lucky with this robin on Saturday morning near Dunkeld at the southern tip of the Grampians. They add a splash of colour to an otherwise drab overcast day. This species uses a perch from which it surveys the ground waiting to pounce on any unsuspecting insect

Beautiful bird, I like the details, perch and BG. You could raise the color temperature a bit and I would give it more room top and right. Did you clone something out on the right side?

    G'day Axel,

Only cloning was a small piece of 'fluff' on the bird's crown

    cheers Rob

Lovely pose, colours and detail Rob. I like the OOF BG too.

This is an absolutely outstanding portrait Rob. The light and "glow" of the bird is very eye-catching, as is the pose, BG, perch, head angle, everything. The white forehead might be a little hot but other than that I don't think this can be beat.

This must be one most beautiful robins that I have seen.

Love the combination of colors and clean BG. The perch is nice too.
