    Default Looking Back.....Roseate Spoonbill

    Here's a roseate spoonbill at Alligator Farm down the street. This bird is a favorite of mine. They spend much time feeding on shrimp in Salt Run a short flight from my house. You've got to love the brilliant pink contrasting with the white on the wings.

    I used my Canon EOS- 1D, 500 mm f/4.0 L, 1.4 TC BB with 550 EX flash and a tripod. I was lucky to get any sharpness since this bird was way up in a cedar tree.

    I like the head angle and setting. The light looks a bit harsh, you could try to get more details in the shadows and I would crop a bit off the top.

    i think the branch merging with the bill is distracting. i like the pose. lots of contact with the bird.
