Dave, I like the composition, bird´s pose, perch and the fantastic rendering of the eye. The OOF background merging with the bird is a bit distracting and I think it would be much better without it :-)

I like the perch, details and eye contact. I don't find the BG distracting but wish for a lower angle.

I like the background also, and find the overall composition very balanced and pleasing to my eye. We all see diferently, and monitors vary, but I wonder how this would look slightly darker - a little less "bright" overall. Very nice work, and aren't you glad you did not drive away without capturing this one. Thanks for sharing.

I think the background is lovely. It works for me because the pretty in focus flowers in front are so nicely balanced by the oof flowers in back. Cute relaxed pose and nice detail. Well done.

I like the light, details, and the pastel colours in this. The BG doesnt distract, but I would take a bit off the bottom.
