    Hi Guys,
I'm not sure where to crop this one  I've taken 1/4 of the whole image off from the left. Too much branch - but left enough tail space; now my q is if I leave it as is it's almost a sq crop and the eye is in the centre third? Is there enough space for the bird to look into?
Or do I add canvas on the right to get it onto a third crossing? Or portrait? :o

Tough crop Jeni. Got the beak on an intersecting thirds and left room for the tail. Nice shot BTW.

Never noticed til you mentioned it Jeni. Guess it does looks better. Think vibrance in ACR would give it the boost you are looking at:)

good repost by Jackie, but another option Jeni:

I made a selection of the bottom of the perch and bg and
moved it up to make the perch smaller. Then I noticed that
your perch was almost level in the pic, so I rotated 3º ccw
to give it a bit of a lifting tilt. Of course then I had to crop tighter
from the rotation, but you may get a few ideas

Thanks Dave, now I've also learnt a few new ideas!!! Have frequently sat with a perch that I thought was a bit big for the bird!:):)

Nice work Jeni - Daves repost is on the money for me - love the colours and BG compliments the bird nicely.
    Well done

Thanks Dave, Did you do anything to alter colours sat?
I woke up at 3a.m and been sitting playing around with a few images to reduce perch size!!:D:D
Doesn't it bother anyone that the bird is in centre third?

Won't go into the crop since it's been corrected, however your image has excellent details and colors. The head angle and eye contact are dead on.
    Congrats Jeni

If there was a competition for the best, most helpful, multiculturalistic website in the entire internet, BPN wins; AND there isn't a close second.

    Thanks Dave!
