Found this little bird doing some home improvement. I had the flash with beamer on the camera so I thought I would try program mode in this situation. It seems to have worked out well. Capture at Satwiwa in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

HI Kerry Sometimes at close distances I take off the BB ... always worth given a try, Does not look bad at all as presented From your perspective made the best possible image !!!
Thanks Al, that would have been the thing to do. Didn't have the presence of mind to do that! It was a quick "ooh looky" and I the rig on the tripod and fired away! :) Also could have put the Sto-Fen on the flash for even softer light. These little ones were so active I was afraid I would lose the moment!
Hi Kerry = looks good to me - these guys are quick so I know were you are coming from there, exposure does look good, Good Ha and eye contact - as AL said - dont think you could have done any better from your position.
Keep them coming :)
Hi Kerry,
An interesting capture angle...it looks like you snuck up on the little guy and caught him red handed...:D...It looks good...looking forward to your next one...
