Minor corrections in Picasa 3 almost full frame croped to 8 x 10 critiques welcome, some day I will have to learn how to alter photos with photoshop.
You've caught the eagle's intense look well here, Robert. Image looks a bit dark to me and I think brightening the midtones by pushing the midpoint slider in levels to the left is helpful. A little selective dodging of the iris and a slight saturation boost helps accentuate the yellows. Not sure about the 8x10 crop comment as this isn't in a 8x10 aspect ratio. Removing some from the right may be an option.
Good comments and repost by Tony. Is flash allowed where the eagle is being held? If so that would have been a good option to fill in the shadows in the eye and face area. I like the pensive pose.
Dramatic, with a great repost. I like the crop and the COMP too.
