    This little rail was taken @ the local wildlife refuge.
    Breeds widely in The Pacific and South West Asia.
    Details:
    Pentax K10D and Tamron 70-300 @ 220mm.
    ISO 100 1/350 @ F5.6
    Taken around mid-day.

    A beautiful Rail. Mid day light was harsh but I think that you did well. There is nice detail and the bird is sharp. Over here, we are fortunate to get Rails out in the open. I think the biggest distraction is the shadow of the branch. I would also like a little more room in front of the bird.

    Hi Ian nice capture and here in Aus. we too have problems as most of our Rails are very rarely in the open and tend to be found in marshy and reedy areas.
