    This is a seldom seen bird..a Bicknell's Thrush...told by its call, length of yellow on bottom of bill (over 1/2 for Bicknell's, under 1/2 Grey-Cheeked Thrush). For a long time considered the same bird. Taken at Whiteface Mountain, NY.
    I have looked for this bird in 2 provinces for the past 3 years...thanks to this article, I found out they were breeding practically in my backyard...2hrs by car

    Nice one Paul. You don't see many images of this species. Can't get over how close the bird was to Ottawa!

    I agree - very nice! They also occur in Cape Breton Highlands, and are very hard to see, but have a beautiful song.
