    Found this guy on North Beach at Desoto.

    50D, 500f/4, 1/200 at f/5.6, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered, ISO 400, Raw, Cropped.

    Don:

    Nice angle in frame, sharp, well exposed. The light was pretty contrasty and a bit harsh. I might try lowering the brightness just a tad.
    I would like a bit more space on top, and bottom.

    As you can tell from my avatar, I like reds! Thanks for sharing.

    I did a little tweaking on your image to tone it down a bit. Just an option for you, but I think it shows the colors in the bird better.

    Repost looks a bit better. Love the image, lovely full body shot, GREAT BG, nice comp and although I am not to fond of square crops here it works well, nice light, colors and detail. Congratulations!

    Sharp, with good feather detail. I like the simple stance. Randy's repost with the toning down has worked well. I would maybe add a bit to the bottom.
