Another photograph from my Costa Rica collection---cropped, curves, sharpened and bg noise-reduced. C&C encouraged and greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

A very sweet image Katie,
I like this very much, you have sharp details, good color rendition, a clear sharp eye and a complimentary background that showcases your bird quite well...only one suggestion...:D I would crop just a little from the bottom to eliminate some of the negative space...aside from this, a capture...good show...looking forward to more...:)
Nice shot and Al mentioned the steep angle. I thought I read from Artie, anything over 20-degrees was suspect (I could be wrong). I have no ideal what it was for this shot, just mention this in passing, Al can give more details.
I noticed the manual mode, nice looking exposure. What did you use to meter?
Wonderful shot, love the open beak and beautiful eye.
Hi Katie! Nice hummer, I remember him well! I like the open bill and the detail in the eye, chin and neck areas. I see a little noise in the dark of the wings but the BG looks real smooth! Great trip!!!
I would sharpen the eye more as it looks like the body is sharper. It could just be me though. I also think cropping some off the bottom doesn't hurt either. Like the details in the feathers. Good colors, too.
Hi Katie - lots to like, HA open beak pose, great colours.
Just the mentioned angle.
Jeff I think the 20 degree angle was from a discussion re BIF - anymore than 20-30 degrees above the horizon - I could be wrong.
Katie, Angle noted and I agree w/ some noise. Love the open bill and pose! Beautiful bird Thanks for sharing so much from your trip-I look forward to more of the gems!!
