I found this snake in my yard tonight. Used my Sony A100 and the Sigma 50-500 because it was already on my camera and did't want to chance the snake leaving before I got back with the camera. The data= f/9, 1/125, +2.0 ev,
ISO 125, 230mm, fill flash. Thanks for looking, John

Nice image, John. Love the eye contact and the tongue sticking out. The mulch BG sets off the snake nicely. If possible, I would like to see the white in the URC gone. Well done!

Great eye contact and such a "sneaky" look to this guy. I might crop off some from the bottom, right up to the snake's body as I find the oof wood chips a bit distracting. Nice find and capture.

    Hi John,
I like the capture, agree with Katie on the cropping from the bottom...your snake is sharp and the eye is clear and sharp...the white on the top portion of the frame does not bother me...good show...looking forward to your next encounter...:D:cool:

Good looking snake !!! Would crop the right side to the snake's eye is at the intersecting upper right third. Excellent point of focus !!!

Hi John - agree with the above comments - exposure is good - nice details in the blacks :)
