    I like the composition, pose, exposure control and BG. I wouldn't be surprised if the thistle is too overpowering for some but I like how well it shows the size of the hummingbird. Maybe a bit selective sharpening on the head and NR on the BG.

    Hummingbird images have yet to work their magic on me, but this one stands out nicely to me. I think the familiar thistle helps me to connect this to the reality that I live in.

    This is great. Nice color, comp and BG all together. Even more impressive that it was done with natural light.

    A great natural light captureTed - and I like the movement in the wing tips giving that feel of hovering. A lovely image!!
