    Canon 40D, EF500 f/4 + 1.4 tc, tripod, ISO 400, f/11, 1/640. Full frame.

    I like the colorful setting, details and eye contact. The berry adds to it. I would either lighten or remove the shadow on the back of the bird and maybe the clipped branch in the upper right.

    Good timing, details, and colors. Sharp as a tack. I would like to see a bit more space in front though.

    Great comments and suggestions above, but also stunning image, great timing, lovely light and very VERY nice BG and colors, detail is outstandfing too. Congratulatinos!

    Great timing on the berry-swallowing "action". Super light. I agree in toning down (or eliminating completely) the small shadow on the bird. I also wouldn't mind a looser crop, and would tone down the OOF berries in ULC to match the ones directly above the bird's back/rump as they are catching my attention a little too much. Superb sharpness and colours...it just pops on my monitor! :-)

    Simon, this looks like our white eye. Amazing colours in this, sharp, with good detail. The berry a bonus.
