    Nice exposure, excellent detail in the wings, bright eye.

    The head is angled away, and I find the brightness of the background a little distracting. I would normally add just a bit more canvas on top, but that would increase the relative impact of the background, so would leave the crop as is.

    I agree with Randy's commernt here about the head angle, to me the BG is very nice and I think it goes very well with the bird's color :)
    Amazing detail and sharpness, great light and nice pose. Congratulations!

    Thank you both Randy and Ramon , I was pretty happy with this capture the afternoon light was great and it just flew right by to bad I didnt see it a couple seconds earlier and I would have more of a head on shot. I appreciate the comments

    I agree about head angle, and bright part of the BG too. It should be pretty easy to tone it down by masking off the subject and green area of the BG and then using your favorite method for slightly darkening the rest. There is also a tiny curved OOF grass blade directly in front of the bill that is mildly bothersome. Excellent exposure on the bird itself, and awesome details on the wings :-)
